The Sacrament of Marriage is a covenant. The marriage covenant refers to the relationship between the husband and wife, a permanent union of persons capable of knowing and loving each other and God. The celebration of marriage is also a liturgical act, appropriately held in a public liturgy at church. Catholics are urged to celebrate their marriage within the Eucharistic Liturgy.
For marriage preparation and to schedule a wedding at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, please contact the priest of your choosing at least six months before your proposed wedding date to start the process.
We’re looking for married couples who live out their Catholic faith to help guide others. These married couples will walk alongside engaged couples who are in premarital counseling and marriage prep, serving as mentors.
